All the sites features should now work
This post explains how to use many of the features available.
Feel free to start posting whatever you want, non rcc songs, rants, insults, etc. Try and keep pictures to a minimum size before uploading!

The return of RCC will run for 48 hours for the entire days of March 1st and 2nd (Saturday and Sunday).
The official competition time is eastern USA, New York city time.
This will be the official site for the competition, it is still in development as you can probably see.
You will be informed with plenty of time how to use this site, so dont worry!

To celebrate the 54th RCC I bought some studio time at Indre Studios in Philadelphia ( http://www.indre.com/home.html )
best known for their work with Patsy Cline, Sonic Youth, Afro Celts SoundSystem (or soundtrack, I forget), and for their awesome Chandelier.
It's really worth the 80$ per hour rate, and I had a lot of fun making this track.
I hired a professional handclapper to do the hand claps. He charged 250 an hour, so we only did one take.
Cowbell was done by Mr. Jorge Liebowitz who was very professional and very likeable.
The guitars were played by me, of course.
Anyway, it was an awesome experience and we all went to see Faith No More at the Mann afterwards, then had dinner (again, on my tab.)
We mixed it on 1" tape just for old school reasons, which albeit kind of expensive, is worth it for the quality.

Nice handclapping! Can you give me the reference to this guy, I would like to pay him a trip to canada and hire him for some project I have.
I promise myself to do something for next rcc, I already have something on my mind. But I couldnt do anything for the past 2 months as I was moving into my new house. But now my studio start to be operational, no reason not to do an rcc!

ok, its the 53rd rcc
the site was broken and no one told me
hence theres a couple of funky posts below, whoever did those better re post
I will delete them soon
the full site probably isnt working right, I suspect control panel isnt for example
Issue was caused by my shitty coding failing after a php upgrade

At least someone did something. I didn't realize saturday was the first saturday, since it fell on the 1st of the month. completely forgot.
doing a tune tonight though, within 24 hours or 48 i guess.

A bit of found sound, i purchased a reel-to-reel on a flea market and on reel that was in i found this. It's someones recording of the swedish coverage of the first Apollo mission.
The president is waiting in the oval office for the phone to ring so he can speak with the astronauts.
Highlights include: - The swedish woman yelling excitedly that she is taping it, and her husband telling her to calm down already. - The Swedish Scientist dissing the whole Apollo mission as being "something from the world of Las Vegas" - The couple arguing some more about wether or not this is worth recording. The recording ends before the call to the president is made, and swedish popular music fills the rest of the tape.
